Why do we like this?
Well, Band Of Horses put their entire new album Mirage Rock up for stream on SoundCloud. I just gave the whole thing a listen, and must admit that my feelings are a bit mixed.

Here's why: it's pretty generic and unoriginal. Perhaps I need to give it more time to sync in, but the overall tone is quite downtempo, and may as well have been recorded and listened to in the 70s (America, anyone?).

That said, there are a few tracks that aren't that bad. "Dumpster World" in particular stands out from the pack as being more modern and lively.
