I had the pleasure of watching New Zealand soul singer Bailey Wiley perform while she was in Berlin for a three-month "musical working holiday," and I'm so glad this Ben Esser produced track came about because of it. I'd also be hard-pressed to name another female vocalist whose live performance and effortless vocal runs I've been more impressed with!
Naturally, I was very excited when I heard Bailey was working with producer Ben Esser, who did a killer Ed Sheeran remix about 6 months ago.
The first track off Wiley's new EP, "Take It From Me" is the result of this collaboration, with the R&B jam made all the better by Esser's stellar production. The fast-paced verses are beautifully juxtaposed with the hazy choruses, Wiley's golden voice filtering neo-soul classicism with modern, pulsating beats.
Both Ben and Bailey are artists to watch, so be sure to keep up to date with them on social media.
