Why do we like this?
Aussie duo Bag Raiders have finally released their self-titled debut album, more than two years after their single "Shooting Stars" took the internet and supporters of A-League team Adelaide United (soccer) by storm. The latter may have been a direct result of the former, but needless to say, Bag Raiders have garnered a lot of attention recently.
For me, the highlight of "Castles in the Air" comes half-way through, when the build-up gives way to a keyboard solo and quickly segues into an awesome drum-roll and soaring instrumentation (in all honesty, I cannot name the instrument used, save for to assume that the sound was produced using either a keyboard or a guitar). The track serves as a perfect introduction to an album that, at least for me, was entirely new and awesome but for their prior single, "Shooting Stars".
