Axolotl is a Melbourne five-piece who've started gaining some serious kudos for the lush, electronic pop music they're creating. Having already supported the likes of Bonobo and How to Dress Well, their star is truly on the rise, and based on the strength of their latest single, that trajectory looks to continue in earnest.
"My House" is taken from the band's upcoming debut album, and, at a touch under three minutes, they sure pack a punch. The band's strength is clearly in their creation of vast soundscapes for vocalist Ella Thompson to work off. This single has that almost celestial, unworldly feel to it, which artists like Grimes and Chairlift have become so adept at constructing.
If you're enjoying this, and can't wait for their new album to come out next year, make sure to check out the band's SoundCloud.
