Since we stopped doing premieres, I kind of quit checking my submissions email. Now that I’m not checking my emails, people have managed to slide into my DMs. Axel Mansoor’s team slid in, and reluctantly, I checked it out. I’ve started to hate pop music. I hate it. It’s boring. This, on the other hand, is not boring at all.
Axel’s debut track “Wasted My Love” is a strong start to a project. With production barely hanging on the line of stuff like James Blake, this project is definitely going to have some legs. Beyond incredible vocals and production, what caught my eye and forced me to check it out is the artwork. You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but I do a lot of the time with album art.
