Why do we like this?
Icelandic songwriter Axel Flóvent has a new single out, "Quiet Eyes," the title track from his second EP out on May 9.
After his 2015 debut EP Forest Fires and subsequent global discovery, Flóvent signed to Epic/Sony Records in 2016 and toured far and wide from the tiny Icelandic town of Akureyri. Next up, he will be supporting Ásgeir on his European tour in May.
About this well-composed ballad, Flóvent said:
“Quiet Eyes is about co-dependency and a message to whom it may concern in an inspirational way. It’s a way of reminding myself and others to take action, look at your feet and see where you’re at because you’ve not been yourself lately.”
