"Decisions" is the new single from Gold Coast producer Atticus Beats. It's definitely on trend, featuring melodic piano, syncopated synth beats, and heavenly female vocals. It shows a *lot* of promise from the upcoming producer.
There's a couple things I really like about this track. First, simple though it sounds, there's variety, there's movement -- and it changes in exactly the right ways; I'd describe it more as verses and choruses rather than breakdowns and drops around a single theme. Second, the semi-ambient soundscape manages to feature a full range, from a strong bass to high-end synth trickles, while maintaining a gorgeous minimal vibe. I'm really loving piano at the moment, too (but maybe that's just because I've been listening to way too much electronic music) -- it intertwines so well with synths in this track.
Woodes' vocals are frail and vulnerable, yet her voice manages to tap-dance around the rhythms and synths with a meek, yet sensual intimacy.
The track has also been laid as blueprint for a set of remixes which can be found on AB's SoundCloud, featuring some pretty incredible work from Paces, Benjamin Casual, and more.
