Why do we like this?

"Bloom" is the latest release from an EP trilogy by Sydney duo atOlla.

As a set, the three EPs have followed a journey of emotional discovery. The final EP installment (called Lucille, from which this track comes from) is themed around falling out of love.

What else I notice about atOlla is the careful use of imagery that accompanies their music. Matilda and James chose beautiful images that have a distinct antique, pure and whimsical quality. The synth-heavy, floaty and ethereal eeriness of their music style all comes together to paint a mysterious, interesting and gothic-like musical picture.
