Australia's Atlas Genius has reached a lot of hearts in recent years with their singles "Trojans" and "If So." No surprise, I'm a massive fan of their clean and catchy indie rock.
I'm also a lover of the Big Apple's singer, musician, producer, and remixer Chris Glover, better known as Penguin Prison. I did a double take this morning when I saw this remix cross my feed.
Rumor has it that Atlas Genius is preparing a whole EP of remixes on the heels of their album Inanimate Objects, which dropped in August.
In this version "Molecules," Penguin Prison slides a significant, crystalized layer of dark pop over this previously lighthearted single. The beats are heavier. The song now evokes a very different kind of dance-worthy atmosphere. I'm not entirely sure what that movement looks like, but I'm sure your own hips will tell you.
