Why do we like this?

Asukal, the Tagalog word for "sugar", is the moniker of one Raquel Undheim, a young Brooklyn-based artist delivering delectable sweets in the form of experimental-pop.  Her debut EP Purity, released just last week, is a genre-melding experience unlike any other.  

Try to keep up with the pace of her wildly experimental production and you'll lose sight of her lush, dreamy vocals. It deserves at least three full listen's to be able to appreciate every aspect of this intricately crafted project.  

"How It's Gonna B" is the project's lead single, and rightfully so as it sets the bar for what could be the future of pop music. In an ever-changing industry, Asukal is already ahead of the game.
