Why do we like this?
It's always a good day when there is new Astronauts, etc. music to share. A few weeks back, the Berkeley-based producer reached out to me with this funky little tune called "Sadie." It reminded me of the last Astronauts, etc. song I hyped, "Coldboy." There is something a tad bit haunting about the vocals -- seemingly in sync and at odds with the sharp, shifting synth work.
Astronauts, etc. walks this line between contemplative R&B and dance floor pop. I can listen to a track like "Sadie" or "Coldboy" and have such different emotional responses depending on the moment. Maybe I'll want to dance around a bit, or maybe I'll just sit quietly with my memories. Either way, I know I'm losing myself in the music.
