Why do we like this?
ASTR, the New York electronic pop duo, first caught my attention last year with their debut single "Operate," which stirred up quite the buzz around the blogosphere. With a few other releases and covers since then, the duo continues to create tunes that keep me coming back for more.
The latest and greatest from ASTR is a track called "Blue Hawaii," and it might be my favorite from them thus far. The track keeps in tune with dark R&B vocals and vibes while adding in some trappy beats to keep the shoulders bouncing. As the name "Blue Hawaii" might suggest, the track definitely has more of summer feel then the rest of their collection. Perfectly fit for the West Coasters, because we are hitting 70 degrees everyday right now. What polar vortex?
Keep in touch with ASTR on SoundCloud or Facebook, I'm sure they'll like you for it.
