Why do we like this?

Despite the name of his latest track, the trajectory of Melbourne producer Asdasfr Bawd (pronouced az-das-a-fah bor-d) has been nothing but positive. With his previous releases disappearing into the rearview, the young talent is turning his attention toward his debut EP release, with the record's second single "Negative Energy," premiering here today.

"Negative Energy" sees a slight drop off in tempo from his manic recent single "Alsp" (one of the biggest tracks I've come across this year), but still maintains a similar level of potency. Again possessing a significant focus toward rhythm, we're treated to a loop of sampled vocal, throbbing synth, and staggered percussion bound to keep you locked in.

Asdasfr Bawd's debut EP Underpass is due out early next year via Solitaire Recordings.
