Why do we like this?
I first discovered High Wycombe-based As Elephants Are via their song "Crystal," which was championed by the venerable Zane Lowe on his Radio 1 show in October 2013.
Now the boys are preparing to release their new four-track Hand Prints EP (due out later this month), from which this track of the same name is taken. Showcasing a bigger sound, "Hand Prints" is brimming with unabashed indie pop vibes, manifested in anthemic, guitar-driven melodies and euphoric brass notes.
First impressions led me to compare them to a combination of The Maccabees and Bombay Bicycle Club, but I'll leave that for you to decide.
The four-piece will play their first headline show at The Sebright Arms in London on March 31.
