It's been a long while since Brooklyn's Arms released their full-length album
Summer Skills (in 2011, to be exact). But they are back at it with "Comfort," the first single released since their hiatus.
Set to be part of their
EP2 slated for release in September via Paper Garden Records, "Comfort" features frontman Todd Goldstein finding exactly that. After spending some time during the band's break studying design and "throwing down in the kitchen," Goldstein is back doing what he's meant to be doing: crafting catchy, upbeat pop songs.
Filled with some 70s surf rock-inspired guitar put together in a homespun lo-fi fashion, "Comfort" is just like that super soft vintage t-shirt you can't manage to part with it. Arms has managed to remember who they are and where they came from on this track -- somewhere in between 70s AM radio and 90s indie rock, which is exactly what makes them so great.
If this track is any indication,
EP2 is going to be something special. You can pre-order it right
here on mp3, CD, or (and I would highly recommend springing for this) vinyl. Until then, find some "Comfort" with the single.
