Ark Patrol Real

This one ain't our usual cup of tea, but that's half the fun isn't it?

Ark Patrol's "Real" was released late last year (2022) and has a great mix of breakbeat and indietronica. The end result reminds me a whole lot of Jamie xx, who happens to be one of my favorites of the last decade (though I do confess to struggling with his newer stuff).

The man behind Ark Patrol is Brandon Gomez, and he's had quite an interesting run. He was diagnosed with cancer back in 2018 but has since beaten it. And he's come out swinging while at it, featuring on soundtracks, blowing up on TikTok, and getting a good sync deal on a Microsoft ad. Hopefully that means he's got plenty more music writing up his sleeves.
