Why do we like this?
As the year comes to a close, I figured it would be appropriate to post my favorite track of 2013. In previous years this has been a struggle, however, this year not so much. 123Mrk has remained my favorite young producer since his Noname EP off Infinite Machine back in 2011.
123Mrk makes this remix of "Time" his own. It's a track that flexes his ability to make music beyond genres; it makes you want to dance, but at the same time stop and really listen. The song features a powerful chord progression along with irresistibly bright and bouncy synth pads and mallets.
I've seen the excitement this track stirs up in a small environment, as well as its potency from behind the decks at a party. This is my top track of 2013, and possibly even 2014.
