Why do we like this?
There's not much Father John Misty can't do, and this super cover of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" is just another example of how talented he is.
Misty strips things right back, playing the plodding melody on his acoustic guitar as he infuses the already hearty lyrics with his own folky charm. The slower pace of the cover also adds another layer to a song that looks at childhood and the loss of youth and innocence, with Misty's recognisable vocals doing a great service to the song.
