Why do we like this?

Funeral was undoubtedly one of the best full-length album debuts to ever grace the indie rock world. Many might even argue that it was one of the best debuts across any genre. For my generation, it certainly holds a pretty solid place.

As many of you will already know, "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)" is the opening track of their 2004 album. Released as the first single (with 1500 7" vinyl copies printed), the song sets the perfect tone for the nine tracks to follow. Just listening to it makes me want to whip out the full recording and listen straight through.
