If there was a school that taught vibe, Ara Koufax would be the school captains, and their latest single would be the school anthem. The Melbourne production duo (who also work together as Naysayer & Gilsun) have been busy recently, and their last single "Brenda" was released through Cut Copy's label Cutters Records at the back end of last year.
On the pulsating "Market," the guys have embraced their love of house music. Created with the warmer, humid months in mind, the track hums along throughout, building a sense of anticipation steadily with fantastic balance. To top everything off, the improvised saxophone riffs from Sam Mullaly (from Melbourne band City Calm Down) prove to be the perfect foil for Ara Koufax's deep bass lines and temperate synth.
Ara Koufax will release their debut EP, including "Market," through their own label Downtime in April.
