This extra groovy and chill song is ideal for those kicked back summer nights hanging by the fire pit or on the beach. The English group threw in more peppiness than some of their older stuff, but the wavy rhythm will hook you.
The echo effect feels slightly spaced-out, especially since they layered so many sounds so quickly. I can’t pinpoint it exactly but it sounds like the band is using brushes on the drums instead of sticks.
This track talks about feeling like no matter how much your significant other has or is given, it’s never enough. Like the lyrics here in one of my favorite lines, “Cause you could get all excited for nothing / And you could have the world in writing, but that would mean nothing.”
This song is from their new EP,Sober.
