Fame Stop Moving The Houses
"Out in LA" is a self-reflective narrative within the ideals and corruptions of fame, built on top of a funky 70's retro sound — sign me up!
So here's what this song is all about — dissonance. I know it doesn't sound like that, but the song itself is a very creatively written comment on the changes Aquillo had gone through after the huge success of their first two albums — Silhouettes and ii.
"Out in LA" takes a funk sound and layers it with a story all about the strange disassociation that happens when fame takes over...and it's a home run! Not only is the music a bop to listen to, but under deeper inspection, it stands tall as a strong call for an independent identity in the overwhelming audio war that is music.
Also, the music video is super dope!
