Why do we like this?

Anna of the North has been busy this summer. In June, they announced their debut album and released the title track "Lovers." Last week, Anna lent her vocals to a new Tyler, the Creator track, "911/Mr. Lonely," which also features Frank Ocean and Steve Lacey. And now, the duo has shared this second single from their forthcoming album, Lovers.

“Someone” delivers the same alternative appeal which has set apart Anna of the North’s pop sound from others in their league. Anna’s electric vocals tell a story of loss and longing atop snapping synths and drums that sound straight out of an 80’s movie, an irresistible combo that makes a unique addition to their catalog.

Years after the Australian Brady Daniell-Smith and Norweigan Anna Lotterud joined forces for Anna of the North, a debut project has been long and eagerly awaited. Lovers will be available September 8 via Different Recordings.
