The Lonely Pedestrian and The Big Town
Narrative mastery and an easy sound make for a beautifully entertaining folky ballad that is as unique as Andy Shauf is enigmatically charming.
A track mixed with beautifully melancholic sounds is only made a thousand times more enthralling by the always absorbing sounds of Andy Shauf's narrative tale-spinning and vocal ease. "Jaywalker" is boiling over with charm is also just as immensely serious and it doesn't let go until the very last chord that plays out like the best cliffhanger in the best book. It's a big town for our protagonist and it's a hard life, but it sure did lead to a masterwork of the narrative art.
