A Melancholic Perspective
Andy Shauf's "Green Glass" is a beautifully melodic folk track that is as much Paul Simon as it is Bob Dylan.
It's a track that rains narrative on you in small drips of melodic folk sounds. The track warps like the sun through stained glass throughout the day, splitting its colorful folk sounds and warping them into hard blues sounds and narrative exposition only to leave you with a fade-out. It not only leaves you wanting more but then succeeds in making you feel like an observer — someone who's only there for the moment, the situation, the current joyful perspective.
"Green Glass" is a metaphorically deep track and a blues/folk journey that is breathtakingly beautiful. I hope you enjoy the listen.
