Chances are you already know Melbourne artist Andrei Eremin. He's best known for his production talents, having worked with the absolute best Australian artists today, including Hiatus Kaiyote, Chet Faker, I'lls, Oisima, and Rat & Co.
He's recently started releasing his own tunes, collaborating with the Kucka, Fractures and now Nearly Oratorio, better known as Simon Lam of I'lls and Klo.
"Two Dones" is both immersive and expansive. A full palette of colors and tones, Lam's emotive vocals carry the melody above an atmosphere that builds, layer by layer, into a truly beautiful soundscape. The deep, rich strings -- performed and recorded by Eremin -- contrast gorgeously with the melody and instrumental layers. Soon, the organic atmosphere soon gives way to padded rhythms, synths, and distant, eerie vocal loops.
A sentimental offering that plays on the heart as much as it does the ears, "Two Dones" has so much to offer.
The single features on Eremin's solo EP Pale Blue, out today. You can listen or purchase it here.
