Orchestral is not a word you usually pair with electronic music, but then again, Anatole is not your average electronic musician. The producer (and multi-instrumentalist) was classically trained at the Sydney Conservatorium, and has used all his musical prowess to create beautiful, expansive soundscapes over the past couple of years.
While earlier single "Away" showcased a more pop-centric side of his work, Anatole's latest track "Colours" delves deeper into his creative background. Enlisting the help of some of his former classmates, the track includes violins, violas, cellos, double bass, clarinet and flute -- all shimmering over a carefully conceived electronic backdrop. It's a gorgeous track, and really showcases Anatole as the very special artist he's become.
"Colours" is the second single from Anatole's upcoming EP Surrounds, with the record out just in time for Christmas (December 18) via TEEF Recordings.
