Sydney musician Anatole is one of the more unique electronic producers Australia currently boasts, and given some of his previous works have been largely overlooked, it's awesome to see his latest track getting the respect it deserves.
Trained at the legendary Sydney Conservatorium, he's quietly built up a reputation for his unique soundscapes and musicianship, both of which are on show on his latest single "Away."
Featuring the vocals of Melbourne's Tash Parker, the track possesses the delicate layering of his previous work, but has a cut-through that sets it apart. The multi-instrumentalist has managed the difficult process of balancing live and electronic elements here too, which also should be applauded, with strings, keys and flute adding so much to his smooth production.
"Away" is the first taste of a number of further releases from Anatole that should see him grow in stature over the coming months.
