Why do we like this?
How do you feel about living today in 8-bit? Or just hearing it in 8-bit? Such seems to be the objective of the band Anamanaguchi, a "chiptune" punk band from NY that takes sounds from an old NES and a gameboy, and turns it into music. On top of these glitch-pop sounds, the band often employs guitar, drums and bass, creating a fushion of sound akin to songs I've heard by Starfucker.
The band has had a fair bit of success, writing the soundtrack for the video game adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and featuring their song "Airbrushed" in Rock Band. You can check out the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) remix of that track right here, right now, by hitting play (chances are you've done that already -- awesome!). Enjoy your dose of 8-bit.
