Australian band Amyl and the Sniffers is the perfect blend of gacked-out campy punk fun.
Following the release of their self-titled album in 2019 and 2 acclaimed EPs, the group continues to make their mark on the punk genre internationally with the release of their sophomore record — Comfort to Me. And to say that I completely missed out on this album when it first came out in 2021 is an understatement. But I'm now happily working my way through the rollercoaster of sounds and emotions that Amy Taylor conveys throughout.
"Hertz" is lyrically an earnest love song, yet several tracks later, we hear "Don't Need a Cunt (Like You to Love Me)" which is a Motorhead-meets-power pop masterpiece.
Strap in, laugh a little, cry a little, scream a lot with this one.
