Staying home from school in the middle of Winter, watching those videos, and dreaming of Summer is what Amor Amor’s new track makes me think of. It’s free, cheerful, full of color and fun, and holds tight to that late 90’s/early 00’s vibe. Even the lyrics are fitting, focused on dancing and losing oneself to the music, as if a good beat could solve all your problems (oh, to be young and carefree with no debt.)
“Pieces of Summer” is nostalgic and full of sunshiney electronic warmth, and it’s a blanket I want to wrap around myself and hide in while the rain falls outside on a boring Sunday.
