Why do we like this?

This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. Amo Amo produced this track in celebration of Earth Day. Despite being an alluring, chillwave track, it carries a deeper meaning; asking listeners to contemplate their own actions towards life and Earth.

"Canta" marks the LA-based, psych-pop group's first single after signing to Poolside's label, Pacific Standard Records. Hauntingly beautiful vocals add depth to the wavy synths and drums, conjuring a spiritual endeavor for the audience. Amo Amo broke down the details of this song's meaning to Velv Magazine:

The beauty, cooperation and abundance contained in nature embodies the deep love that the earth has for all of us. Every part of life sings its existence and contributes to this great love song. Bees pollinate flowers, whales sing to each other, even when one being dies to nurture another we see the cycles and interconnectedness of life. 'Canta,' asks us to think deeply about what it truly means 'to love' and implores us to do our part to take care of all life, all land, with our actions.

Amo Amo was formed in 2017 amongst a group of five close friends - Love Femme, Omar Velasco, Justin Flint, Shane Mckillop and Alex Siegel. The band's songs are written collectively together and permeate boundaries of modern psychedelia. The result? Euphoric and nostalgic music.
