Why do we like this?
American Authors is probably not a band you've come across before, but they're nonetheless a name you will hearing a lot more of in 2013. Based in Brooklyn, the quartet (Zachary Barnett, James Adam Shelley, Matt Sanchez, and Dave Rublin) formed last year.
American Authors possess this uncanny ability to create catchy pop hooks that you can't help but fall in love with. They dropped quite a few songs in 2012, but it was only recently that an EP of some sorts was released, titled We Are American Authors, with "Believer" being the lead single.
I can draw some similarities to Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere" at the beginning of the verses, and I absolutely love it. I hope you do, too.
