Halt for a moment and appreciate this. It's a collaborative track between London-based artists Amane and James Isaac, both downtempo vocalists who come together like aged rye whiskey and red vermouth. Ambrosial in their blend.
I sadly hadn't heard of either Amane or James before this, so am stoked that SoundCloud put me across the mix. According to The Fader, Jamie's "close pals" with King Krule, thus some similarity in sound. I feel there's definitely some overlap, but Jamie's seemingly got more of a JMSN feel to me. Not surprised to find him on Rinse then, as it's now the home to Soulection's Joe Kay.
You can pre-order this EP on iTunes. Dig more Amane on his SoundCloud -- we also enjoy his more ambient work like "Who Would Have Known."
