Why do we like this?

A new track from Alt-J? This has to be the most exciting thing since sliced bread!

"Hunger Of The Pine" is the first new single released by the band since their breakout debut An Awesome Wave way back in 2012. Interestingly, this is also the first time that the band have recorded without bassist Gwil Sainsbury, who recently left.

"Hunger Of The Pine" sees the band take a downtempo approach to music. There aren't many frills, and the only thing worth pointing out is probably that there's a Miley Cyrus sample used. Unexpected, right?

Keep your eyes peeled for more new music in the near future -- there's a new album on the horizon.
