Why do we like this?

Almost two-and-a-half years have passed since we last heard from Melbourne-based Alpine, which means that this new single comes as sweet, sweet music to my ears.

For the unfamiliar listener, "Foolish" will come off sounding like a mix between Kimbra and Snakadaktal -- two artists that coincidentally also find their origins in Oceana.

Comparisons aside, "Foolish" caught my attention from the moment I hit play. It's an upbeat, well-produced and creative synth-pop track, certainly indicative of positive things to come.

The band's album YUCK will be available in June of this year.
