Allyson Ezell is an American-French singer who, like many creative and talented singer-songwriters, has an interesting story of how she arrived to making music. Allyson hails originally from midwest America, Iowa to be exact. After bumping around between different cities, countries, and jobs, she one day found herself in Paris and decided she didn't want to be anywhere else. She now calls France her home.
Her move to France is clearly working out well because Allyson's got everything going for her. She's signed to a major label (Universal), she's on the tail end of a significant European tour, and she been compared to other pioneers before her like St. Vincent and Annie Lennox.
In true trailblazer style, Allyson channels her songwriting and vocal talent to come up with her own brand of eccentric pop. Speaking of that vocal talent, "Pick It Up" packages and showcases her controlled, articulate and crisp vocals better than anything she's released to date.
There's more to come from Allyson. "Pick It Up" will feature on her upcoming EP called The Ease of Remembering Sparks. It will be available everywhere via Universal Music on March 23.
