Why do we like this?
The California band Allah-Las have just put out their self-titled album, and it's a trip through their surf and garage rock inspired music. Their EP earlier this year gave us a glimpse of what was to come, and on this album they've included such great tunes as "Catamaran" and "Tell Me What's On Your Mind," as well as expanded their catalog with some new music that continues their sound.
The song we chose to feature, "Ela Navega," is a instrumental composition, highlighting Allah-Las' penchant for soft, acoustic sounds that are reminiscent of that old 60s vibe. The electric guitars strum slowly as the rhythm jumps back and forth. The breakdowns and guitar solos are classic here, just another reason Allah-Las is a band to pay attention to.
