All We Are is a psych folk pop trio from Liverpool, and if this doesn't make you feel flowy and flowery then I don't know what will. Their single, "Cardhouse," is taken from their We Hunt EP which was written in an isolated Norwegian forest cabin, arranged in an abandoned city schoolhouse and recorded in a huge ancient church. Yeah, make way from quite the anthemic EP.
All We Are's video for "Cardhouse" is simple and stripped down. The three bandmates candidly display their talents in a modest yet powerful way. They really let the music do the talking, and it seems like it has a lot to say. The song starts off soft spoken and ethereal, but just like an abrupt storm, what seems like an orchestral army comes in -- but really, this trio is all it takes to make such a gorgeously luscious mix of folk, pop and psychedelia.
