Why do we like this?
This artist may very well be a casualty of a chameleon industry, but it doesn't stop "Peanut Butter" from being one of my favorite remixes of 2012.
Alison is a ingénue of a pop star from New York. Late summer, she was slamming the blogosphere with a track called "Peanut Butter." The orignal, admittedly, bugs the crap out of me, so it was a stroke of fate that I heard the Moon Boots remix first, and man, is it the feel-good of feel-good tracks for a beautiful sunny day.
Alison's full release, Swimming Pool Sounds, was slated for release later in the summer. Summer has now come and gone, and Alison has come and gone off HeavyRoc's artist roster.
Don't get too disappointed, she's left us with a great memory... and who knows, sometimes life gets in the way and albums are postponed. Quite possibly, Alison Valentine might be someone to watch in 2013.
