Why do we like this?
Anything that starts with Alicia Keys and ends with "For The Ladies Edit" deserves a listen. San Francisco native Nick Monaco has taken the R&B songstress' 2010 single "Unthinkable" and added some electronic flourishes, readying this track for every lady on the dance floor.
Bringing up the BPM just enough to suit a downtempo house set, Monaco leaves Keys' vocals for the most part in tact, layering in percussion and subtle synths. Baritone piano notes sweep in the background counter balancing the higher, lovely vocals. The combination of beat and voice is a mellow, smooth, groovy remix.
The best part? Monaco's art work which states "no girls no party." Can't refute that.
