Why do we like this?

Earlier this month, we featured "Apogee," a track from a mysterious new producer under the moniker City Beautiful. Since then, he's maintained his anonymity, even updating his name to Alexander J, and has dropped another single in his set of releases paying homage to a recent Japan trip.

"Rising Sun" is a great name for such a warm, meditative track -- another fantastic addition to this series. Layer upon layer of synth form the base of this song, while a number of interesting samples add a worldly feel. The use of guitar is again a highlight, and one that always creates a rounded feeling to the electronic beats.
