Why do we like this?

Michigan singer-songwriter Alex Winston is like the local sports team. Even when things don't go her way, even when she loses, I'm pulling for her because I have seen and heard the greatness that resides within her.

After a vocal cord hemorrhage sidelined her in 2014, Winston has dug deep inside herself, overcoming anguish and the weight of her previous releases to bring the world The Day I Died.

The three-track EP, including featured song "Down Low," is a harbinger of the rebirth we're to witness on Winston's next full-length release.

The Day I Died is available on iTunes and SoundCloud.
