Why do we like this?
British producer Alex Metric is gearing up to release an album on label OWSLA next month, but apparently Aeroplane couldn't wait to get his remixing hands on single "Rave Weapon." Metric is living in many lands right now, producing his own music along with the lines of the talented and blossoming Charli XCX.
Now to the music. For those of you who are familiar with the upbeat, nu disco/house original tracks and remixes that Aeroplane has been drawn to for the past while, you'll have to look elsewhere for that spectrum of sound today. His remix of "Rave Weapon" takes a page from the harder side of electronic music, leaving his glitzy beats in the dust.
"Rave Weapon" is due out on his Ammunition Pt 2 EP, so keep your eyes out for that in the coming month.
