Why do we like this?
Rock & blues composer Alejandro Meola has been making music on multiple continents for several years now. His new EP, First Impressions, will be released in the US and worldwide July 15.
The single "Purple" reflects the Meola's obvious joy in culture mashing, and embodies the essence of experiencing a new place for the first time.
The color purple tends to represent calm and spiritual uplift; this track does as well. "Purple" starts out with an almost Stax-like vibe, with hints of classic period Stevie Wonder in the chorus.
