Turkish singer-songwriter, Ahu, shares the breezy yet bittersweet single, "I & I (Venus Square Neptune)," from her recently released album,Platonic. Drifting between an intimately revealing torch song and dreamy electro-pop, the tune is elegantly expressed with its silk-like vocals, luxe keyboards, and tight rhythms.
Throughout the verses, we hear the somewhat mysterious vocalist deal the pros and cons of being in a "no labels" sort of romance. She wrestles with the all too common concern of clearly defining her relationship as well as laying out expectations. If you've ever had this kind of conversation, then you know it can be a heavy-hearted affair, but in this instance, Ahu manages to keep it cool and casual.
If you dig the single and video, be sure to check out the Platonic album when you get a chance. You can thank me later.
