Why do we like this?
Shabazz Palaces is a esoterically rad duo based out of Seattle. Their perspective may be lost on some, but their ingenuity is welcome in the sea of copycat and stale music that can plague the Internet these days.
Their remix of Adult Jazz's "Springful" brings an already experimental track to another level of disjointed interpretation. Crawling BPM and diffused elements make this track read like an 70's acid trip. The remix features sliding notes and mellow vocals with a consistent, lightly paced beat throughout, wrapping the rhythmic production up with a nice little bow.
