Why do we like this?

I heard this song in a store at the mall the other day and my mind was blown because I have never heard of Adeline before. I do not know anything about her. All I know is that I want to hear more of her now.

I'm a sucker for funky bass lines so naturally I started to bop my head. I thought it was just another funky pop tune but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. It went full on disco. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of disco... but I am all for this one!

Adeline is part of a New York based disco funk group called "Escort." I feel bad that I've never heard of them before. I will definitely check them out as well as Adeline's other solo projects and I suggest that you guys should as well. I never got the memo until the other day but apparently disco is not dead, and I'm very excited to hear what it can still be.

"Before" is from Adeline's 2018 solo album Adeline.
