Why do we like this?
I stopped listening to progressive house for the most part this past year because I got distracted by some of the unique sounds coming from modern electronic artists in other genres. I'm sure that my absence has caused me to miss quite a few gems, so I think it's about time to get back into the swing of things because prog house had a big influence on my musical taste today.
Adam K is no stranger to the remix game, having produced several club hits with his life-long friend Soha. My favorite of these has to be the remix for Reflekt's 2005 single, "Need to Feel Loved." Listening to this song reminds me of my trip to Ibiza, Spain a year ago; everything about it just screams "tropical paradise" to me for some reason.
"Wake Up" is an original tune from Adam K accompanied by some smooth vocal melodies from Naan. I can just imagine this being one of those songs that everyone knows the words to when it plays. So turn it up and start singing!
