Actor is new and relatively unknown in the mainstream music scene, but we think that’s going to change very soon. In their new single, “Uppercut,” the sweet, melodic vocals intertwined with a catchy hook makes for the perfect recipe to delight hungry listeners.
Comprised of singer/songwriter Louisa Osborn, producer Chris Mulligan, and drummer Ste Anderson, Actor is a British-based band that calls a bomb factory converted into a murky art space home (to their songwriting, that is). Their atmospheric alt-pop sound is unique yet aligned with music we are accustomed to from the likes of Lorde and Florence and the Machine, so we think there is great potential for “Uppercut” to be a knockout (no pun intended).
Actor does not have an album out yet but has released a few other previously released tracks that you can listen to in the meantime.
